Private stories need plain rules.
Because of You keeps contribution and reveal pages unlisted, requires organizer approval, and gives organizers a permanent deletion control.
What organizers provide
Organizers provide recipient and occasion details, project settings, an optional photo and introduction, and payment-related contact details. Payment card data goes directly to Stripe.
What contributors provide
Contributors provide a display name, their story, an impact statement, an optional relationship and answer, and an optional photo. They must confirm they have permission to share it with the organizer and recipient.
Why we process it
We use this information to collect, moderate, organize, display, email, export, and delete the private Ripple the organizer requested.
Service providers
Clerk handles organizer authentication. Stripe handles payment. Resend delivers organizer email. A configured private S3-compatible provider stores images. OpenAI processes approved contribution text to group it into grounded themes.
AI processing
Only approved contribution IDs, display names, relationships, impact statements, stories, and optional answers go to the language model. Payment details, email, access tokens, and storage credentials do not.
Control and deletion
Organizers choose which contributions appear. They can archive a project or permanently delete it. Permanent deletion removes project database records and project objects from private storage.
